Egyptian local reports and Team Coach clash over Salah's probability of starting today's opener

Mohamed Salah's probability of starting is a bit confusing as local reports from Egypt is saying the Liverpool star is likely to miss out of the match against Uruguay.

It was recalled that Salah sustained a shoulder injury during the Champions League final against Real Madrid. The forward has not trained with his Egyptian team ever since, according to local reports.

According to el-ahly.com, the main media outlet for Egypt, he has a low chance of playing in Egypt's debut match.

Notwithstanding, Egyptian coach, Hector Cuper in a press conference said that Salah is prepared to play their world cup opener.

"Salah is very good," he stated.

"He has been recovering very well and has already done training with us.

"He is ready to play and, unless some unforeseen event arises at the last moment, we are all optimistic that he is ready."
