2018 World Cup: Why Africans are not happy - Football Legend, Kanu Nwankwo

Football Legend and Arsenal star, Kanu Nwankwo, has stated that every Nigerian is not happy over the injury sustained by Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah which stir up deep doubts if he will be able to play at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Egyptian International sustained a shoulder injury during Liverpool's Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid.

”It is not good news for Africa and I believe every African, no matter where they are, we are very, very sad because we expected him to do what he did with his club Liverpool, to do the same magic for his country in the World Cup,” Kanu explained to RT.com.

”I wish he will play and, if he does, he is still going to do what he does but I don’t know if he [misses] a couple of weeks, if he is still going to be the same type of player.

”Is he going to miss some training [sessions]? But good footballers will stay good footballers.”

Mohamed Salah was the top scorer in the third round of the 2018 African World Cup qualifiers with five goals.
