The first football question Sir Ferguson asked after his brain surgery

Sir Alex Ferguson still got football running in his blood even on the hospital bed.

The 76-year-old Legendary Manchester United manager was taken to hospital to have emergency surgery on a brain haemorrhage.

Ferguson was able to sit up on Monday and was curious about knowing what is going on in the football world.

According to The Sun, Ferguson simply asked: 'So, how did Doncaster get on?' when he came to.

Unfortunately, the answer to the question wasn't a good one with Doncaster suffering a 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic but the very question was simply heart-warming and perfectly sums up the man.

Ferguson then told his family at bed side: “Aye, the Cup Final is out — but what about Kiev?”
