Security man steals Company's Car the very day he resumed duty at the company (Photo)

A 27-old newly employed Security man attached to Halogen Security Services Limited, Lagos, Joseph Aba, who supposedly stole a Hyundai Accent Car with Reg. number KJA 260 DS worth about N5 million has been apprehended at Iyana Oworo area of the state after he was engaged to work at Phase 3 Communication Nigeria Limited Office, Victoria Island, according to PMnews.

Joseph supposedly made away with the car the same day he resumed duty and tried to Journey the car to Benue State but unfortunately for him, the car stopped and he was apprehended.

Management of Halogen Security Services Limited through it's Compliance Offficer, Mr ezechukwu iroha made the report to the police.

The police disclosed that the event occurred on 30th September, 2017.

The police explained that the suspect supposedly made away with the car immediately after the office had closed for the day, then he went into the office, collected the car key and a HP Laptop worth about N124,000 and zoomed the car to the direction of Benue state to sell it off.

The  police said the management of Halogen Security Services, CSP Ajamolaya tracked the car and apprehended Aba.

The police said after interrogation, Aba confessed that he wanted to use the car to commercial use in Benue state or sell it off and use the money to arrange his life.

Aba was dragged to Igbosere Magistrate Court, Lagos on a one count charge of stealing.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Abbass Abayomi told the Court in charge. No C/64/2017 that the accused stole the car at the premises of Phase 3 Communication Nigeria Limited where he was asked to resume duty.

Abayomi said that the crime committed is punishable under sections 287 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State

The suspect notwithstanding was not found guilty to the allegation, but the Chief Magistrate Mrs A.O Komolafe offered bail in the sum of N2.5m with two sureties having the same amount of money.

The Judge commanded that the accused to be detained at Ikoyi Prison, Lagos until the bail conditions is met and the case is suspended till November 14, 2017.
