Dr. Olisa Agbakoba drags FG to court over marginalisation of Igbos in the NNPC Board

In relation to the marginalisation in Buhari's government that have been on several occasions voiced out by some Igbo leaders which many have said it is the cause of serious agitation of Biafra republic. 

In turn to that, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba has dragged the federal government of court for alienating the Igbos in appointments to the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation of Nigeria.

Mr Olisa on Monday in a statement supposed that the appointment made by the Federal Government of Nigeria, stands against the provision of S.14 of constitution and also the Federal Character Commission, Act and the provisions of Sections 42 of the Constitution of Nigeria that prohibits discrimination of any of Nigeria’s ethnic groups in which the South East are being put in such condition.

Following the lawsuit, Federal High Court has been asked to announce the inbalance appointments of Board members of the South East Zone, unconstitutional, null and void. However, no date has been arranged in Court concerning the case fired against the FG.
