Dangote arrests 7 staffs and two other declared wanted for stealing N451m



On Monday, 7 Dangote sugar Refinery staffs and a businessman were arraigned before a Lagos High Court, Ikeja, stealing wholesumly N451m from the company's pocket, The Nation reports.

Following the crime, the suspects were laid upon an eight-count charge of conspiracy, stealing, forgery and false documents presentation before vacation, Justice Sedoten Ogunsanya.

Joseph Ukpah, Musa sule, Chinedu Onyekwere, Babatunde Ajao, Rahman Alayande, Ezekiel Omoro, Odion Abugba, a businessman, Habib Mande and his company El-Habib property Nigeria Limited, were the defendants.

However, other two staffs, Manir Mohammed and Zainab Adebanjo have been announced wanted by the officers of the Special Fraud Unit, SFU, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The suspects were pleaded not guilty as the charges read to the court against them by state prosecutor, Mr.E.A Jaxkson

Justise Ogunsanya explained that the defendants, despite the allegations, were legally under administrative bail.

The case was adjourned till September 22 by the Judge, insisting they are still under bail conditions.
